Message from Principal

Education is important to people of all ages and it has no limit. It empowers people to develop personality and gives knowledge and skills. It opens the mind and expands, and is the most powerful weapon which we can use it to change the world. We cannot hope to build a better world without improving the skill and knowledge of individuals.

We envisioned Mahendra Rastriya Secondary School not just as a school to prepare for life but a life in itself. One of the frequent compliments that our revisiting students and parents give us is that Mahendra Rastriya Secondary School is always growing and changing positively. We are not afraid of encompassing change and keep looking for the finest model of curriculum and pedagogical practice that is forward-thinking, relevant, based on research, and serves to the best of our students’ well-being.

The ultimate goal of education is to help an individual to lead a productive and well-balanced life while developing him/her strong enough to give back to society. To achieve this goal Mahendra Rastriya Secondary School goes beyond transferring facts, knowledge, and skill and works towards awakening the human soul, each unique yet beautiful manifestation of individuals of their own rights. This value is well reflected in the involvement of the entire school community, students, teachers, staff and parents all alike, in community service actions, something we all are very proud of as a school team.

We have been offering CIVIL Engineering, a prestigious programme offered by the Ministry of Education and Science, Management, Humanities, Law and Education streams of National Examination Board. We have a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty and academic administrators, who are always concerned about students’ academic performance and their overall development. We have plans afoot to introduce higher level courses and some international programmes in the near future.

School is a second home where the students spend the best part of their life with teachers and class-mates. Students are encouraged to ask questions, and to think, to acquire, a taste for good reading, to solve practical problems mathematically, to develop wholesome and caring relationships with family and neighbours, to be self supporting and willing to help others and above all to make responsible moral choices. Every student has the potentials to be good and smart. Education is the means to develop the innate gifts and talents which already exist in every individual. “Education means all-round drawing out of the best in each student- body, mind and spirit’’. Each individual students are unique and we treat them uniquely.

I am grateful to our dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, and the parents. Whose constant co-operation assists us, to impart quality education.

Committed to educating and nurturing all students so they may grow towards responsible global citizenship.
